Bubinga a popular hardwood from Central Africa, has a close resemblance to Rosewood. It is reddish or Pinkish brown with Purple or Black veins. The Tree reaches 130-150 ft tall. Grain is straight to interlocked. Has a uniform fine to medium texture and moderate natural luster. Bubinga is also reported to be resistant to termite and marine borer attack. Higher quality architectural woodwork and mass-produced furniture, paneling and parquet flooring, well-suited for musical instruments.
